Hello, dear colleagues! Finally, I decided to submit my next work to your court. Idea to do origami church crept in to me a very long time after I saw this church on the website of the Country of Masters. I just "fell ill" with her! But to do such work, you need a mood, but not an easy one, but a sincere one. I got to work, then I put it off. And now, two years later, I finally decided to make my own. church. (maybe my stars aligned). The work has begun to boil! The goal is to have time to create before Easter church. The hardest part was making enough triangular pieces in the right color. I didn’t count exactly, but the whole craft took about 15 thousand modules. Before starting work, I had no idea that I would need so much paper! Of course, at the initial stage, I had to assemble and disassemble. It turned out there were subtleties. But this work has been so long carried me away that I didn’t even notice how time flew by! When everything came together, there was such a feeling of joy and satisfaction! Finally, I have such church!I hope my work will inspire some of you and you will also want to have one of your own church! I wish good luck to everyone who decides, and most importantly patience!

Origami is an ancient Japanese art, which has been actively discussed in our country in recent years. Not only children, but also adults strive to master the skill of creating various figures from whole sheets of paper. For some, this is innocent fun, for others, it is a process of creative self-expression. For example, for Sergei Tarasov, a 42-year-old teacher from the village of Tigritskoye (Minusinsk district of the Krasnoyarsk region), modular origami is a vocation. He recently completed model of St. Basil's Cathedral, it took over 10,000 sheets of A4 paper.

An amazing layout of one was presented at the Craftsman's Rus festival dedicated to the talent of Russian craftsmen teachers. The dimensions of the cathedral are striking - it reaches a height of 1.5 meters. Sergey Tarasov spent a year on its creation, having made 60 thousand modular parts, which were later combined into a single ensemble.

Sergei Tarasov became interested in creating four years ago: initially he made all kinds of animal figures (rabbits, roosters and even fantastic dragons) out of paper, later he moved on to more complex forms - trains and buildings appeared in his collection. At the same time, the idea arose to create modular origami of famous buildings. In addition to St. Basil's Cathedral, in the creative piggy bank of Sergei Tarasov there is a model of the Minusinsk Orthodox Holy Savior Church. The artist is not going to stop there, the origamist plans to create a model of the Moscow Kremlin and Red Square!

By the way, Sergey Tarasov is happy to share the secrets of his skills with the younger generation. In addition to art lessons, at school he conducts an elective called "Rainbow of Masters", where he teaches children not only to fold figures from sheets of paper, but also teaches the basics of weaving

You have already seen on the pages of our site amazing models of triangular modules that are simply amazing. We offer you another such craft, which simply cannot but inspire creativity. And we will fold the model of the temple from those same triangular modules.

First of all, you need to make 4 turrets from white and blue modules. These turrets will play the role of supports for small domes. The height of the turret is up to you. In each row of such a detail, the author used 16 modules.

After that, you need to make 4 domes for small towers. In order to hold the domes firmly, 4 modules are added in each row - thus, inside the part also consists of their modules.

The next step is to assemble the main tower and dome. For this, 28 modules were used in each row of the tower, and 36 at the base of the dome.

When the main elements are ready, you can roughly imagine the size of the future temple. Arrange the turrets with domes so that they look attractive and do not interfere with each other.

The cardboard frame is needed in order to strengthen the walls of the modular temple. Walls made of modules alone will not be able to withstand the load of other parts.

For this, the author used an ordinary cardboard box, in which he cut off and bent the corners inward. It is proposed to fasten the box with ordinary staples or soft wire. Then you need to make a kind of roof - glue the base with green paper and make holes for the turrets.

After that, you need to make 4 arches in which pictures with icons will be attached. The author made the arches voluminous. For stable fastening of the arches, petals with rounded edges are glued to each side of the box. It is on them that the arches will be attached. Next, glue the arches to the roof and continue them to the base of the box in the form of columns.

In order for the sharp corners of the modules to be able to properly attach to the base, the author used double-sided tape, and also secured it with additional wire.

After completing the arches, you need to make walls - these are fairly simple canvases from triangular modules. The walls also need to be attached with wire to the surface of the box.

We glue the base of the box with colored paper and decorate it with a double snake of modules.

It remains only to glue the images of the icons in the arches and assemble the decorative elements that will decorate the beveled corners of the base.

The final step is gluing the turrets with domes to the base. That's all - the temple of triangular modules is ready.

We hope that one of our readers will decide on such a global project and share with us photos of finished models.

From triangular modules, you can create simply wonderful models of a wide variety of objects that amaze the human imagination. One of these crafts, which inspires creativity and encourages you to plunge into origami with your head, is a model of a temple made of plain paper. To assemble this large-scale structure, you will need about nine thousand triangular modules. First of all, we will make four towers from blue and white modules. Such turrets will be supports for small domes, so you can adjust the height yourself. Sixteen modules can be used in each row of the part.

After the towers are ready, you need to make four domes for them. To keep the domes strong, you need to add four modules in each row, so that inside the part also consists of triangular modules.

Then you need to assemble the main tower of the temple and the dome. To do this, in each row for the tower we use twenty-eight modules, and on the base of the dome - thirty-six.

When all the basic elements are ready, you can roughly imagine what the origami temple will be like. We will arrange all the structural elements so that they do not interfere with each other and look beautiful.

We make the frame of the temple. Cardboard is needed to strengthen the walls of a modular building so that the walls can withstand the load of all the details.

You can use a regular cardboard box by cutting and bending all the corners first. You can fasten the box with ordinary staples or wire. Then we glue the base with thin green paper and make holes for future turrets.

Then we create four arches so that they are voluminous. For a more stable fastening, we attach petals with rounded protrusions to each side of the cardboard, on which we will then glue the arches. We add arches to the roof and continue them to the base in the form of beautiful columns.

To properly attach the sharp corners of the modules to the base, you can use double-sided tape. After the arches, we make walls that consist of a simple canvas of modules. We also fasten the walls with adhesive tape. It is advisable to glue the base of the box with colored paper and decorate it with a double snake of triangular modules.

It remains only to assemble the decorative elements that adorn the beveled corners of the base.

In conclusion, we glue the towers to the base and get a beautiful temple, which is very similar to the famous building in the Crimea.

To see the patrimony of this building, you can book a tour of the Crimea from the tour operator Alean for the summer and enjoy the wonderful nature, the salty smell of the sea, taking home unforgettable memories. Tour operators guarantee not only quality service and good service during the trip, but also the pleasure of relaxing on the Black Sea coast.
