Про семью на английском языке.
В нашей жизни нет ничего важнее, чем семья. На английский язык семья переводится как:
family [фэмили] – семья
my family [май фэмили] — моя семья
I have a big family of 4 people[Ай хэв э биг фэмили оф фор пипл] – У меня большая семья из четырех человек.
Обязательными членами семьи являются:
father [фазэр] – папа
Husband [хазбенд] – муж
mother [мазэр] – мама
wife [вайф] – жена
А если мы хотим сказать о них как о одном целом, то чаще всего мы употребляем слово родители: parents [пэрэнтс] – родители
I love my parents very much, because we are very close with them [Ай лав май пэрэнтс вэри мач, бикоз ви ар вэри клоз виз зэм] – Я очень люблю своих родителей, потому что мы с ними очень близки.
Также в семье могут быть:
daughter [дотэр] – дочка
son [сан] – сын
children [чилдрэн] – дети
My son is five years old and my daughter is 7 years old [Май сан из файв иарс олд энд май дотэр из сэвэн иарс олд] – Моему сыну пять лет и моей дочери семь лет.
sister [систер] – сестра
brother [бразэр] – брат
My sister is very funny and smart, I love her very much [Май систэр из вэри Фани эндс смарт ай лав хё вэри мач] – Моя сестра очень веселая и умная, я её очень сильно люблю.
Но бывают и необычные случаи:
twins [твинс] – близнецы
twin-brother [твин-бразэр] — брат-близнец
twin-sister [твин-систэр] – сестра-близнец
I have a twin-sister, and we are very much alike [Ай хэв твин систэр, энд ви ар вэри мач элайк] – У меня есть сестра близнец, и мы с ней очень похожи.
Также не стоит забывать и о пожилых членах семьи: grandparents [грэндпэрэнтс] — дедушка и бабушка
I do not see my grandparents often but still I love them and miss them very much [Ай ду нот си май грэндпэрэнтс вэри офэн бат стил ай лав зэм энд мисс зэм вэри мач] – Хоть я и не вижу своих бабушку и дедушку часто, но я все же скучаю по ним и очень сильно люблю их.
grandmother [грэндмазэр] – бабушка
grandfather [грэндфазэр] – дедушка
У бабушки и дедушки обязательно есть внуки:
grandchildren [грэндчилдрэн] — внуки
granddaughter [грэнддотэр] — внучка
grandson [грэндсан] – внук
From the window I saw grandfather with his granddaughter yesterday [Фром зэ виндоу ай со грэндфазэр виз хиз грэнддотэр естэрдэй] – Вчера из окна я увидел дедушку со своей внучкой.
Второстепенными членами семьи являются:
uncle [анкл] – дядя
aunt [ант] тетя
cousin [казин] – двоюродный брат или сестра
His uncle is a teacher and her aunt is a singer [Хиз анкл из э тичер энд хё ант из э сингэр] – Его дядя — учитель, а её тетя — певица.
niece [ниис] – племянница
Nephew [нэфию] – племянник
I have three nieces and five nephews in Moscow [Ай хэв фри ниисис энд файв нефьюс by Москоу] – У меня есть три племянницы и пять племянников в .
Также членами семьи могут быть:
step-father [стэпфазэр] – отчим
step-mother [стэпмазэр] – мачеха
step-con [стэпсан] – приемный сын
step-daughter [стэпдотэр] — падчерица
When I was five my father died, and my mother remarried, that is why I had a step-father [Вэн ай воз файв фай фазэр дайд, энд май мазэр римэрид, зэт и свай ай хэв э стэпфазэр] – Когда мне было пять лет мой отец умер, и мама снова вышла замуж, вот почему у меня был отчим.

When we are ill, we call the doctor, and he examines us and diagnoses
the illness. When we have a headache, a stomachache, a sore throat, a
cold or a pain in some part of the body, we call the doctor.He takes our
temperature and our pulse. He examines our heart, our lungs, our
stomach or the part where we have a pain and tells us what is the matter
with us. He says: “You have a slight temperature”, or “You have the
flu”, or “You have heart disease”. The doctor prescribes medicine, and
gives us a prescription, which we take to the chemist, who makes the
medicine. The doctor says: “Take the medicine twice a day or three times
a day, before or aftermeals”. If you follow the doctor’s orders, you
get better; if you disobey the doctor you may get worse or even die. If
we have a temperature, we must stay in bed and take the medicine
prescribed. If we cannot get better at home, we must go to hospital. If
we are too ill to walk there, we go in the ambulance. When we have a
toothache, we go to the dentist. The dentist examines our teeth. He
says: “That tooth has a cavity. I must put in a filling”. If the tooth
is too bad, the dentist extracts it.
